They are preferred when a system of 1250A or above current is required. They are naturally more expensive than Metal Enclosed Modular Switchgears due to their current capability. They are used in facilities with high energy exchange such as MV level distribution centers of distribution companies, transformer centers of transmission companies, large petrochemical plants, ports, iron and steel facilities.
